RCATV Trail

Barron Canyon

Located in: Petawawa, Laurentian Valley, Barron Canyon

About the Trail

Located between Petawawa to the east, Algonquin Park to the west, the township of Laurentian Hills to the north and the B trail to the south, this network offers about 100 km of marked trails and old logging roads, as well as a multitude of unmarked beaten tracks waiting to be explored.

The trails take you through forest, past lakes and wetlands, over some rocky sections and even a beaver triple dam set up, offering plenty of thrills for adventure-seeking ATVers and SXS enthusiasts.

Being able to ride from the beginning of trail #28 located at the end of Black Bay Rd.; the popular Km 9 at Sand Lake; coming from the B trail via the Indian River crossing or the #24 trail; access to this area is second to none.

Be on the lookout for other trail users and wildlife on the trail.  Moose, deer, black bear, partridge, heron and the occasional beaver are likely to be part of your memories depending on the time of day you are riding.
